Such a quick trip...

One week ago today we (Janie Ann, Aunt Steph, my papaw Goss and mom) loaded up in the Honda van and headed to ATL to take my mom to stay in a hotel so that she could catch her early flight and no one would be responsible for waking up at 3 or 4 am and getting her over there in time. While I would have loved for her to stay with us ONE more night, it just wasn't do-able. So, at 5:30 we were pulling out of the mall parking lot in Auburn headed to ATL. We made pretty good time getting over there and we were able to eat a nice little dinner before looking for the hotel. My aunt DOES NOT have a GPS (yes, this blows my mind!) so we had a hotel for my mom, we had an address, but that was it! Thank goodness before my mom left for CA she upgraded her phone to a smartphone that has a googlemaps application on it! We found the hotel (after being lost for a little while) and we got her unloaded and checked in before we headed back to Auburn/Daviston. This was EXTREMELY hard for me to do- saying Goodbye again, not knowing when she would be back home! Of course, I had my camera and I took a few pictures of Gigi and Janie Ann.

I sure do miss my mom, but it meant a whole lot for her to be home for Janie Ann's 1st birthday. I can't wait until she returns home for Christmas (and then when she returns a LITTLE closer to home- at least to the East Coast to work somewhere!)!! We love you Gigi- hurry back!!

Happy Halloween....a little late!

This year was Janie Ann's 2nd Halloween to celebrate! The first one she was 1 day old in the hospital at EAMC (pictured below). It is so hard for me to believe that she is 1 now!! Anyways- we celebrated a couple of times so that we could put our penguin outfit to good use! The first time we wore it was to go Trick or Treating with the Daughtry's! Those boys LOVE Janie Ann and she thinks they are pretty awesome, too!

Every year Rocky Creek puts on a Trick or Trunk event. This year Seth and Sheena were part of the committee putting it on- we started off the night with some hot dogs, chips and drinks- then the kids got to go around to every one's trunks and play games, get some treats or both! It is a fun, safe event that the entire family can enjoy. Much better than driving from house to house (or walking like I used to do!).

Janie Ann is ONE!!

Janie Ann turned ONE on October 30! Where did the time go?!? We were able to celebrate on her actual birthday with tons of friends and family!! My mom flew in from California and was able to stay and celebrate with us. It was a beautiful day- pretty cool that morning, but warmed up nicely by 4:00- when the party started.

War Eagle!

Yes, these post are a little out of order... We had a great time 2 weekends ago tailgating at the Auburn vs. LSU. After the victory we all went to Toomer's Corner to celebrate and of course, took tons of pictures! Here are a few pictures from that night! Uncle Stick and Janie Ann!
The Parker's came into town for the game and stayed with us- we got to see them 2 weekends in a row! Boy we sure do miss them!!

YAY! Gigi came home for a visit...

On Wednesday of last week after work, Seth, Janie Ann and I headed to the ATL airport to pick up Gigi. The trip over was rainy and yucky, but we made it with no problems. Janie Ann watched Yo Gabba, Gabba the ENTIRE way over and I know the entire DVD by heart now! We were about 50 minutes early from her flight arrival time but thankfully her flight arrived 20 minutes early!! waiting on Gigi to get to the baggage claim! thanks to Karin for the sign!!

Needless to say, mom was SUPER excited to get her hands on Janie Ann!! I haev pictures, but they are HORRIBLE- so those will not be posted at this time!! I have plenty more to post from the weeks events!

SLACKER!!!!

Ok- I have been a HUGE slacker the month of October, but with good reason- I was BUSY!!! Between football season, weddings and 3 birthday parties, one of those for Janie Ann, I have had no time left!! Let me start with a picture update of the first weekend in October: Jodie and Brad's wedding...

Jodie's wedding weekend...FRIDAY night!

We arrived at the Condo around 9:30 last night, we arrived in Gulf Shores at 6:00- just in time for the end of rehearsal and in time to drop Karin and Lacey off at the Gulf Shores Steamer for the rehearsal dinner. After we dropped them off at the dinner- Marie and I went to the outlets!! YAY for us! :) I finished purchasing our nieces and nephews Christmas gifts (Christmas PJ's) and then I purchased Janie Ann a few more outfits (because she needed them!). Then we went and had some Pizza and then headed back to the condo. When we got to the condo- Karin, Lacey and Natalie were waiting on Jodie to show up! We had to wrap flowers for the bouquets- and so Marie and I used the flowers, rings and a Bible for a little photo-op! We took tons of pictures!!
