Rosalyn's party!!

Well, Rosalyn's farewell party is tomorrow...and I have been running all over Auburn today getting everything I need, hopefully I haven't forgotten anything important! I did forget the flowers for the table, but we will get those tomorrow! I hope to take tons of pictures and post an update, probably on Sunday! 

Also- please keep Rosalyn and Josh in your prayers, along with Rosalyn's family. They have a lot going on right now and really need our prayers! 

Day #2 of Summer Break...

and Seth has drove me crazy today!!! :) First of all- he can't sleep past 7:30 and doesn't think I should either...so we were both up. His excuse for getting me up- to make sure I didn't go low, I needed to eat breakfast and not lay in bed and go low... sweet and considerate- yes, but too early!! So anyways- I was up at 7:30, eating breakfast and washing clothes. Now, we do have a lot of stuff to clean out in the laundry room, so it wasn't a bad thing that I was up cleaning. I also had him bring in the china, finally, and I set up the china cabinet before guest come over on Saturday- so by 8:30 am I had done 2 loads of laundry and put up all the china! Productive day if I say so myself. This afternoon...ok, well around 10- I took a little break to watch a movie and around 10:45 Seth came in from outside...only to turn back around and go back out because I'm sure I wasn't too nice to him, :|. Anyways- it's about 1:00 now, we get to pick up Clark Madison from daycare today between 3 and 3:30- so I'm about to get ready and head into town. 

Tomorrow will be another busy, early day. Lazy Boy is going to exchange 2 of our dining room chairs between 3:30 and 5:30, meaning we have to get to Auburn do all of our shopping and errands run before 2:00 so we can get back and wait on them! Tomorrow Seth will probably be able to sleep until 10 am, but we won't know because we have to be out of here by 8:30, hopefully!! Overall though- I would much rather wake up early and hang around the house than go to work, so I'm not complaining!!! 

SUMMER TIME!!!

Well today was the first day that Seth nor I had to work! It was so nice not to have to wake up to an alarm clock at 5:50, but sleep until 9:00!!! I know I haven't posted anything in a while, but hopefully I will keep it updated over the summer with all of our activities, including ALL the weddings that we will be attending and of course, updates on Janie Ann.

I guess the lastest adventures we have gotten into were on Memorial Day. We cooked out at the house and had family over for the afternoon. If you aren't currently living in the south, then you probably don't know that it has rained NON-STOP for some time now, thankfully our house is big enough to hold everyone inside, and we can send the kids upstairs to play so they weren't bored out of their mind!! Anyways- Seth and his dad both had their polaris' and after everyone had eaten, Mr. Billy, David, Andy and Seth went for a ride... David and Mr. Billy were on his polaris, which has a roof and windshield and Seth and Andy were on Seth's which is open (very nice for warm summer days!). Anyways...they took off, it was nice and sunny- it had been raining all morning and looked as though it was done for the day....WRONG! After they had been gone for about 10 minutes it started raining, and when I say raining...the bottom dropped out and it pouring down rain!!! Well, another 10 minutes passed and it was still raining and there was no sign of them anywhere, so I was thinking they were at the bottoms and pulled over and got into the old-house, where we store hay, and were staying there until it stopped raining. So, my dad went down looking for them...another 5 minutes pass and here they come- SOAKED, well, Seth and Andy were soaked and David and Mr. Billy were laughing!! They had passed the bottoms and were on their way to Griffin Shoals when the rain started and Seth thought they could make it back before it got worse...boy way he wrong! But all in all, everyone had a great time and I think next time Andy will probably not ride with Seth if there is a chance of rain!!

Check back for pictures from Rosalyn's farewell party on Saturday... :( She is moving back to B'ham to be closer to family (which I completely understand), but I don't want her (or Josh) to leave, nor does the AJHS Special Ed. staff!! She will be missed, but I know she will be back for visits esp. once Janie arrives!

It's a....

GIRL!!!!! Boy was I surprised!! Of course Seth has been saying that from the beginning! Everything looked great- I measured 14 weeks and 1 day instead of 15 weeks 1 day, so that changed our due date to Nov. 15th instead of Nov. 8th. Shelia, I believe was her name, was SO nice. She clicked and measured for about 15 minutes before she told us anything! She said that everything measured great and that everything that needed to be there was there and working! It was amazing to see it again! 

What's her name? Janie Ann. Janie after my great-grandmother and my mom's middle name and then Ann after Seth's mom's middles name. We are so super excited and can't wait to meet her!! Now I can begin picking out stuff for the nursery!! Also- she will have TONS of clothes thanks to her cousins Clark and Harper! 

Also- how sweet is my husband?! This morning Rosalyn walked into my room with some pretty flowers- 4 blue and 4 pink- I thought she was being super sweet by bringing me some flowers, but it turns out that my husband had gone to a local flower shop, picked them out and met Rosalyn at the library so that she could surprise me with them!! He is SO sweet and thoughtful!! I love him bunches...now he has another princess to spoil! Janie is one lucky girl! 

Boys will be Boys!

Well, on Saturday Mrs. Donna, Mrs. Vickie, Rachel and I hosted a lawn and garden shower for Adam Hunter- he is marrying Lauren Mitchum on June 27th (I think!); and when Seth got married they threw him a shower that was "Guys Only" and it was all of his highschool friends- it was very laid back and nice. So, we did the same for Adam. Just a few guys that got together and enjoyed a Saturday afternoon. At one point Seth's dad came inside and told me that they wanted their picture made- well I walked outside with the camera to find all 6 boys on the Polaris!! 3 on the bench seat and 3 in the bed!! It was just like old times! I think everyone enjoyed themselves- here is a picture from the event! 

Today's the day!!!

By 3:15 or 3:30 this afternoon Seth and I should know whether or not we are having a boy or a girl- if the baby cooperates!! I have packed in my bag a REAL Coke for this afternoon, hopefully that will get the baby moving and we can see everything!! Thank goodness I have a pretty busy day or I don't know if I could make it!! I have lots of errands and phone calls to make this morning- including getting some paperwork to Kim and to the bank- calling the furniture store and finalizing my math final for Thursday!!! Surely that will keep my mind occupied until 2:00 when I leave for a meeting at Drake and to pick Seth up to go to the doctor!!

2 more days and a Housewarming Shower!

Well, I have skipped a few days on the count down, but I've been  a little busy so please forgive me! We have 2 more days and I can't wait!! The poll still says boy over girl, so we will see. One of our friends, Jane, just found out she was having a little girl and thought it was a boy the whole time just like I!! One of Seth's co-workers brought in a piece of blue and pink poster board and on Friday he told his homeroom class and they all signed the color posterboard that they thought the baby would be...12 boy and 11 girl.

Now, the housewarming shower! Karin and Jodie threw Seth and I a small little housewarming shower with a bunch of our friends from home! The night started out interesting... Karin gave Jodie directions to our house and where else did she tell her to turn besides SWEETWATER ROAD!!!! About 6:30 we get a call from Jodie, she is on the dirt road and lost- so I told her to turn around until she hit Lyles Ferry and turn right on Lyles Ferry and come to the end of that road and I would meet her there....well at 6:45 she hadn't shown up and I was too scared to go down the dirt road afraid I would meet her and have a collision, so I go back to the house and see if she had called...in which she had, so Marie got on the Polaris and off we went down the dirt down praying not to meet her. We reach Jodie at 7:00 and get her turned around and headed in the right direction...but when we got there she informed us that Remington, another friend, had just gone by and that she had honked and waved trying to get him to stop, but he informed us he wasn't going to stop on a dirt road for a random girl! HA!! That made it even better! So  we get back to the house around 7:20 and everyone else had arrived....except Cole and Rachel who also got a tad bit lost, but they didn't turn down any dirt roads!! I promise- it's NOT THAT HARD to find my house- the trip might be a little scary if you have never been this far out into "no-where" land, but it's not hard!! Then Remington started the grill (Seth was at the 6th grade dance until 7), and once the grill was ready Seth had made it home so he grilled the hamburgers and hotdogs and we had fun just talking and hanging out! We ate so much food that I was miserable, but it was well worth it! After dinner we just hung out until about 12:00 talking and laughing, mostly laughing at Tal...that's a whole blog post on it's on! All in all, everyone had a great time and I wish we could get together more often! 

Today we are throwing Adam Hunter an outdoor shower at 4:30- so I need to finish cleaning up and begin getting ready for that one! I love having a house that we have lots of people visit!! 

Also a special Thank you to my dad and grandfather for keeping Cadillac last night!! Caddy barks like crazy when we have large groups of people and they were kind enough to keep him for us while we had friends over and he ended up staying over night, which was not planned!! 

5 more days, Target and the dinner fairy!

Well- only 5 more days until we find out! Last night Seth and I did the ring on the necklace, hanging over the belly and the hand (old wives tell- if it goes in circles it is a girl, if it swings back and forth its a boy). My mother did this when she was pregnant with me and it went in circles- so it has been right before! Well... we did it 3 times and each time it swang (is that a word?!) back and forth- so if that is right, then my predicition is right, and its a boy! 5 more days and we will hopefully know for sure!! 

Now, on to my next topic- TARGET. I LOVE target, I could live in that store and never get tired of it. Since we have moved to Daviston it seems as though we have been to Target more than when we actually lived in Auburn! Seth gets so frustrated with me because I am always thinking of something that I need- from Target! Well, today I didn't need anything at all, I was ready to head home once I picked him up from school. He got in the car and informed me that Shelly and his mom, along with her 3 kids (the twins, JoJo and Gamble, and Clark) were all in Auburn... at TARGET!! I just had to laugh as we drove out there because honestly, today I had NOTHING that I needed to get from Target, but yet we ended out there anyways! Seth jokingly said that all the associates knew him by name and that he was going to begin visiting Target during his planning just because! I really hope that tomorrow I don't think of something I need from Target, if I do, I 'm sure it will just have to wait!!

Last thing... the dinner fairy. I LOVE the dinner fairy and I don't tell him enough how much I appreciate everything that he does for me. Once I found out I was pregnant I couldn't get home fast enough to take a nap...ok, well, it was like that before I got pregnant...but anyways. My husband never complained (well, every once and while he would complain about me doing nothing!) about my naps, he would just straighten up around the house and while I was asleep he would cook dinner and wake me up when it was ready. We jokingly talk about this "dinner fairy" that comes and cooks and cleans the kitchen while I nap and I'm not sure he really knows how much I appreciate him doing this and how much I love him!! So, Seth- thank you!! I love you bunches and I hope the dinner fairy states around for a while and doesn't quit!! (I'm a simple person, so we would have mexican casserole every night if it was up to me, so I don't suspect he will be quiting anytime soon!)

Done! I guess I have told on myself enough for this post...

6 days...

Yep, 6 more days until we find out, BUT Baby Clark got his/her's first gift. Rosalyn brought in a cute little sweater this morning for the baby. It does look more like a boy sweater than a girls, but I can put it with a cute skirt and it will be just fine! Looking at the poll, though, it looks like the majority of the people think its a boy (so do I!), so I can't wait to find out!! I just wish I knew who was voting for what... that would make it better!

Other news, we had 9th grade field day today and I was SUPER excited because I had an excuse to stay out in the sun all day long, and get a tan!! Unfortunately the weather did not like my plan and it was over cast, windy and COLD!! I was very upset to say the lease... so now I'm hoping for Friday when I get to swim with Rosalyn's class... (I will probably scare some people in my swim suit on Friday because I am so white)!!

7 more days...really?

I'm not sure if I can make it!! I know I wanted the baby to be a surprise, boy or girl...but now that I know we are going to be finding out, it can't get here fast enough!! I am so ready to find out, because I have so many things picked out already, I just need to know whether to order it in blue or pink and which intials to use!!

In other news, my brother is out in LA with his girlfriend, Kaci and my mom. He got to spend Mother's Day with her at DISNEYLAND, lucky. I just wish I could have been out there. I love you mom, and hope you had a great mother's day... and bought me something nice at Disneyland! HA! (I can't wait to see all the gifts that he is going to bring back for me, I am more than positive he and my mother has gotten me something each day they have been out there! ha!)

Pregnancy news... the baby is beginning to strech my muscles and ligaments, which cause me to double over in pain. I called Shelly (Seth's sister) on Saturday after Seth begged me, to find out if it was normal- in which she explained what was happening (the streching)- then I called my mom just to double check... then the doctor this morning for a 3rd opinion, they all were the same, so I guess this is just normal... Other than that the "morning" -night sickness has gotten better, which is a relieve. So anyways... here begins the count-down to find out what Baby Clark is... 7 days!

Under Construction

Please be patient with me as I change the blog up a little. NO- I have no idea whether or not we are having a boy or a girl, so don't let the blue confuse you. I just needed a change!

Seth’s New Toy!

Well, Seth finally bought himself something! Seth NEVER purchases anything for himself, even though I try to convince him all the time that he does need some items, he would rather let me buy something for myself, but today he FINALLY purchased himself something that he has been wanting for a while. A 2008 Polaris Ranger- all I know about it is; it’s a pearl white color and it is an automatic!!  I got to drive it tonight- and I am very excited that he purchased it! It will be perfect for me to jump on and go see my grandfather and dad or for me to ride around our small little part of the world and take pictures!! 

Speaking of pictures, I haven’t gotten my camera out in a while and taken any pictures, so while Seth was out of town picking up his new toy, I pulled out one of my toys and walked around and took some pictures. I actually walked from our house through the field to my Great Aunt’s house- then down the road to my dad’s taking pictures along the way. I personally believe they are great pictures, but here are a few so that you can decide for yourself! 

Dr. update

I went to the doctor yesterday and recieved a good report! The baby's heartbeat was 162 BPM and my bloodsugars were satisfying to the doctor. He told me that they would begin to level off and I wouldn't have so many highs/lows- which I am extremely excited about! We also made our appointment to find out what Peanut is- a boy or a girl! Now, at first I wanted it to be a surprise, but if you know Seth- he isn't into surprises, and I don't think I could make it 40 weeks without him knowing! Plus, I am kind of excited to find out so that we can start buying things and getting them monogrammed! :)

If it is a little girl- she will have TONS of clothes already and we will probably only need to purchase diapers for the first year of her life thanks to her cousins, Clark Madison and Harper Baylee (and their mommies- Shelly and Sheena!)! If it is a little boy- we will have to purchase a lot of new clothes because Harrison and Gamble were both born in the spring (March and Feb.). Anyways- I am going to try to figure out how to put one of those voting things on the blog and cast your vote- BOY OR GIRL?!

Update!

Today we had the interior designer from Lazy-Boy come to the house and show us where we need to put all the furniture (and he moved it!) along with all of our pictures and decor. Seth is currently hanging up the pictures in the study- I will post pictures when we are complete! It's finally looking like our house, and I can't wait to have all the boxes and stuff OUT! 

Another update- PLEASE keep the Auburn community, along with everyone else, in your prayers! There has been a possible case of the swine flu in Auburn. I'm not sure of the details- just read the information off the school website and the OA News, here are the links if you would like to check it out yourself: Auburn Schools and OA News. It will be confirmed, hopefully, by Sunday. That is when we will find out whether or not school will be closed for 7 days. While, I would appreciate the break- we are SO close to the end of the school year that I just want to get it over with!!
