SO EXCITED!

Ok- I'm super excited for MANY reasons tonight!!

#1- my mom is coming home in about 1.5 weeks and she will be staying for an entire week! (Besides her quick trip to the beach).

#2- my mom is coming back at the end of April for almost 2 weeks! She will be keeping Janie Ann the majority of the time, but that is the main reason she is coming back!! MeMaw's daycare will be closed for 2 days for her to go on a vacation- so in comes Gigi! YAY!

#3- ?? The main reason I am SO excited?? I'm not sure how excited anyone else will be- but Karin (Yes, one of my best friends EVER) and I co-teach biology together every day- 5th block. Our first group of students that passed the biology course in December took the graduation exam about a month ago...well.... WE GOT THE SCORES BACK!! We only had 1 student not pass the exam- and that one student wasn't "one of mine"!! You have NO idea how excited this makes me- and I am even more excited for when they find out! Hopefully that will be tomorrow! I know this will boost some self-esteem for some students who have worried since they picked their pencil up on that morning of the test!! I'm also sure that this will make some mom and dad's VERY excited, too!! YAY!

So, yes- I AM excited to go to work tomorrow! (Probably one of the very few days! HA!)

Countdown to AU Football....

Needless to say, it is only March, but we are preparing Janie Ann for football season! She will be ready come August! :)

Happy Spring Break!

THANK GOODNESS it is spring break! I'm not sure I could have made it another day with 8th and 9th graders without a break!! We don't have huge plans this year, just a lot of doctor appointments and then we will go to Birmingham at the end of the week to stay. We will do a little shopping, hopefully go to the Children's Museum, take Janie Ann to the movies for the first time and go to the zoo! We are so excited!!

We started off spring break with having the cousin's over to play in her new playhouse (post below) and I loved this picture...Harper wouldn't get in the picture! :(

And I LOVE this picture- her blue eyes are beautiful and I'm sure they will get her out of a lot of trouble in the future...I'm scared!

Can you say ROTTEN?

The playhouse is COMPLETE!! And to celebrate we had all the cousins over last night to cook-out and play! They all LOVED it! In the words of Clark, "Uncle Seth is an AWESOME builder!"

As you can see we went with a "tropical" theme- my favorite part? The solar pink lantern lights!

Janie Ann thinks she is such a big girl, but she does want you to hold her hand going down the slide, which Seth and I are perfectly fine with! (At least she still needs us, right?!)

Janie Ann's playhouse!

Seth has worked really hard for the past week building Janie Ann a playhouse! He has thought it out for over a week- the perfect house for his princess- and it has slowly come together!

Janie Ann and I would go out periodically and check on the progress and she would get SO excited!!

The ramp to the house!

Almost complete! Slide attached, house almost completely painted- only a few more special touches and we will be outside ALL THE TIME!

We have to paint the trim white and attach it; Seth also is thinking about all the extra stuff he wants to add to the house! We purchased Jamaican Sea as the paint color- so we are thinking a "tiki torch" theme...? We will post more pictures once the entire playhouse is complete!
