3 month pictures!!

We went to Birmingham on Friday to visit with Josh and Rosalyn Parker, and we prayed Baby Jackson would come to visit- but he didn't! So Saturday we went Patton Creek, behind the Galleria, to Portrait Innovations to get her 3 month pictures taken! She was such a trooper and did wonderful! There were TONS and TONS of people, everywhere in there! I got a little stressed out during the waiting part, but she did wonderful!

At 3 months she has become more alert of everything around her, she still LOVES her hands and had recently figured out how to suck on her tumb- which is going to be broken, soon, hopefully!! She has seen her feet and enjoys watching them, she just can't figure out how to grab them yet. She is also rolling from her back to her side, but still hasn't made it all the way over! It is still hard for me to believe that she will be 4 months old, SOON!!! Oh yea, she thinks she needs to be held ALL THE TIME!! :) Especially during nap time- sometimes you can lay her down, but the majority of the time she wants to be held (and I hold her!).

Now, we are praying for Baby Jackson, Josh and Rosalyn. She goes into the hospital tonight around 8 and they will induce labor. I pray that she has a quick labor and Baby Jackson arrives healthy! I will post a picture and details of Baby Jackson once he arrives!!

Day 2

I did ok today, not great... after a stressful morning/mid-afternoon at work I did have an Oreo (or 2), but otherwise a pretty good day! I had an atkins bar for breakfast, then chicken and rice for lunch- along with broccoli and cheese, then another atkins bar for an afternoon snack- along with the 2 Oreos, for dinner I had a bowl of Home style chicken noodle soup and grilled cheese sandwich. I drank water all day- no soda's for me, well soda's with caffeine! (It's been almost a whole year, now!!!)

Tomorrow we are going to visit Rosalyn and Josh- hopefully Baby Jackson will be here soon! Monday at the latest!! We are also going to be getting Little Bit's pictures made on Saturday at Portrait Innovations- while I would love to pay Karen to take them again, we can't afford to get her every 3 months! So maybe for her 6 month and 1 year pictures...we will see! I'm just excited to get them done!!! Hopefully I will be able to get a CD of the pictures and upload them soon!

Diet time!

I am REALLY doing it this time- no more cheating or eating icing out of the jar, I am going to lose weight and I'm hoping all of my blog readers hold me accountable! No, I'm not going to put a starting weight on here, it's way too big of a number! I am going to put down each week how much I loose and hopefully what I eat each day. I am attempting the Atkins diet, but I'm doing it a little bit differently because I do have to have carbs because of the diabetes. I'm limiting my carb intake and cutting out a lot of the snacking that I so much LOVE to do! I want to look decent in a swim suit this summer, whether we are swimming at MeMaw's house or at the beach!

So today...for breakfast I had some eggs, bacon and a banana, along with some water to drink.
Lunch was a salad with Provino's salad dressing and grilled chicken, shredded cheese and bacon bits. For dinner I am hoping to have another side salad or green beans and salmon. I have also enjoyed an Atkins bar which had a nice chocolate coating on the outside, so that covered my sweet tooth for the morning, then I had 1 Dove dark chocolate heart for making it through the school day without cheating! Today would have been the easiest day to cheat, EVER! I have a closet full of Oreo's, brownies, Frosted sugar cookies from Wal-Mart and a draw full of Hersey kisses, Dove dark chocolate and Reese's cup hearts- but I know next week when I weigh myself and I have lost some weight, it will all be worth it!!

Tomorrow Karin and I are going to begin working out- Chad Paris, the weight trainer at our school is going to show us some things that will help us to tone our abs, legs and arms. Then, once it gets warmer Seth, Little Bit and I are going to begin walking at the school after we pick her up- hopefully turn that walking into jogging and then hopefully I will be able to do a 5K soon!

Oh- did you notice I used Seth's real name, well I decided I might have gone a little overboard on the whole thing- I'm still going to try to watermark my pictures before I post them, but only because I think it looks neat! I'm also still going to call the babe, Little Bit, for now... Ready to get home to see, hold, hug and kiss on Little Bit!

ONE more thing! Tomorrow my niece who will be 1 next week, (CRAZY!) is going to have tubes put in her ears and her adenoids removed tomorrow, please say a prayer for her and her parents!

Scary!!!

Ok, today while I was blog surfing I came across the blog Urth Mama and she had a post about how a lady stole pictures off of her blog and had made her own little fantasy family with her pictures!! SCARY!! So now, I'm in the process of changing everything on the blog!!! While I believe that I know everyone that comes to look at my blog, truth is I have no idea who looks at my blog, and that is scary! So we are no longer going to be using our real names, but instead new, fun names! Nor am I going to use anyone else's real names, hopefully I can be creative!! So, to begin with- My husband's name is going to be "The Traveler"- why? Because he can't STAND to be at home for a long period of time, he has to be up and going!! The Babe's new blog name? Little Bit- because she has to continue to have a double name! My new name? Hum...not sure yet! I don't really refer to myself that much on the blog- so I might not have to have a name! *My new name... The Avoider, according to my husband- because I will do anything to avoid doing any work* (changing everyone's name on blog, but I think that is for safety) The dog? He will still be called Caddy!!

Now I'm going to be trying to watermark all my pictures before posting on here so if they show up on someone else's blog, hopefully someone will notice the watermark and can let me know!!! I'm one of those people that thinks stuff will never happen to me, but for this- I don't want to risk it because it could possibly put my family in danger! So now to change names and watermark pictures....I'm sure more safety stuff coming, soon!!!

1st Week back-

and we both survived!!! I won't lie- Sunday night and Monday morning were 2 of the hardest days of my life. Preparing to leave her on Sunday and then actually leaving her on Monday morning, it was SO hard, and I didn't even have to take her to daycare!!! The Traveler and I are so lucky and blessed that our mom's are able to keep Little Bit- and Little Bit is super lucky for that!!!

All of my students were so excited to see me back- one student was so excited he watched my every move and whenever I would leave the room I had to reassure him that I would be returning!! My long-term sub was AWESOME and she got most of the AAA stuff completed for me- that is the best thing in the entire world!! And all of the students enjoyed her.

Next week is going to be a little bit harder because we will have to leave a little bit earlier to drop Little Bit off with The Traveler's mom on Monday thru Wednesday- and hopefully we can convince Gigi to come stay with us again!! :)

Uncle Robert's Crazy gifts!!

Little Bit received her first gift from Uncle Robert on Saturday night while we were at Country's BBQ. I'm not sure that she loved it- but I loved taking her picture with her surprise!! Uncle Robert is the Uncle that tries to find the ugliest shoes, shirts, tattoo's- whatever he can find because all the kids love it!! He is the Uncle that will bring tattoo's to church on Sunday and take you before Church service to put them on. So Little Bit's first gift from Uncle Robert (besides her skull cap and Harley booties) is a mustache!! A couple of weeks ago Little Bit's cousin, out of the blue, started calling her "Little Baby Carlos"- now that name fits her well!! :) Little Bit can't wait to see what she will get next!!

My time at home is coming to an end...for now....

Well, today marks 3 days until I return to work... :( Right now Little Bit is sleeping in her swing, she fell asleep while I was getting lunch so I have yet to pick her up, but I REALLY want too! (I'm sure once I'm done posting she will be in my arms!) I know that I am SUPER-DUPER lucky to have had 3 full months at home with my sweet baby, not too many people are that lucky. A HUGE thank you to my husband for continuing to work and managing the money during the past 3 months. Although today when he told me how much (actually how little) I made, he said it was time for me to return!! I know that once I do return to work the time that I do get to spend with her will be that much better and I am one of the lucky that never has to work on weekends, I get all holidays off, I will ALWAYS get a spring break and I have ALL SUMMER OFF!!! It is now that I truly appreciate my job!!

The Traveler and I are both very lucky, too, in that we do not have to drop Little Bit off at daycare. My mom and The Traveler's mom will be keeping her so I know she will be taken care of. I am going to miss my 3 hour nap in the morning snuggled up on the couch with her daily, talking to her after her nap and eating for about an hour before the next nap, I will miss her smiling at me while I talk to her during the day..I know she will continue to do this once I get home in the afternoon, but it will be extremely hard to go to work and think about her snuggling with my mom and talking to her and not me!!

Anyways- off of my pity party... she will be well taken care of and she will be at home every afternoon waiting for me to get here!! I will work 2 weeks and then have a day off, then I will only have like 4 weeks until Spring break, then only about 9 more weeks until SUMMER!!! So while I am going to be pitiful on Monday, and the majority of next week, I have days off to look forward too!! So if you are working at the Junior High and reading this, make sure you have kleenex with you if you see me!!! :)
